For those who adore bold and distinctive flavours, the Cheese Blues Box is a decadent treat that will delight any blue cheese enthusiast. This curated selection features four exceptional blue cheeses, each with its own character and story, offering a luxurious tasting experience.
Here’s what’s inside:
- Smoked Stilton – Crafted by the heritage cheesemakers at Tuxford & Tebbutt, this rich and creamy English cheese boasts distinctive blue veining and a gentle smokiness. Made from pasteurised milk, it’s a modern twist on a classic Stilton, with over 200 years of cheesemaking tradition behind it.
- Blue Shropshire – A vibrant amber cheese with tangy blue veining, the Blue Shropshire is a subtle variation on Stilton, enhanced with annatto for its signature colour. Its complex flavours offer a robust yet balanced taste that pairs beautifully with wines or chutneys.
- Montagnolo – A German masterpiece, this triple cream, soft cheese merges the qualities of Brie and Roquefort. Its surface-ripened rind encases creamy interiors laced with blue veining, delivering a luscious blend of mild tanginess and buttery richness.
- Blue Monday – Created by Alex James, ex-bassist of Blur turned cheesemaker, this Yorkshire-based cheese is an artisanal delight. With an ivory interior streaked with purple-blue veins, Blue Monday offers a steely yet sweet flavour with notes of dark chocolate and spices. Its creamy texture deepens with age, making it a must-try for true connoisseurs.
To complement the rich flavours, we’ve included gourmet accompaniments:
- A 100g jar of red onion marmalade from What’s a Pickle, perfect for sweet and tangy contrasts.
- A pouch of olives, adding a briny Mediterranean twist.
- A pack of crackers, crisp and ready to pair with each cheese for the ultimate tasting platter.
Average weight is 600g/700g.
Please note that the cheeseboard is not included.
